✨ How to Use

🍛 Tadka/Tempering: Fry whole seeds in hot oil until they pop — pour over dhal or rice.

🌮 Tacos & Mexican: Toast and grind for taco seasoning, chilli con carne.

🍲 Soups: Add to lentil soup, butternut soup, or hummus.

🍞 Bread: Sprinkle on naan or fold into flatbread dough.

🥗 Salads: Toast and scatter over roasted vegetable salads.

🍛 Recipe: Simple Cumin Dhal

  • 1 cup red lentils + 3 cups water
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Turmeric + 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp butter or ghee + salt

Method: Simmer lentils with turmeric until soft (20 mins). In a small pan, fry cumin seeds in butter until popping. Pour sizzling cumin butter over dhal. Stir. Serve with rice. Soul food. 😌

🌮 Recipe: Homemade Taco Seasoning

Method: Mix all together. Store in a jar. Use 2 tbsp per 500g mince. Better than any packet!

Organic Turmeric — for dhal and curries

Cayenne Pepper — for heat in Mexican

Garam Masala — finish Indian curries

💡 Storage: Whole seeds last 3-4 years. Toast before grinding for maximum aroma. Tip: cumin and coriander are always better toasted together.
